JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Senior/Principal Java developer at PYCO, you will be a key member of a talented Agile team building highly scalable applications, with cutting-edge technologies such as Scala, Spark, and Kafka. You’ll work with global clients and build products alongside experts from around the world.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Work as a senior software developer on web application projects in Java and open-source technologies
• Develop for high performance and scalability with the latest technologies using Java, Scala, on the cloud
• Research and develop new technologies and transferring them to the team

• Mentoring other team members on improving their code quality.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 4 years of experience in Java and web development
• High level of Java proficiency, including developing using modern frameworks and architectures, e.g. Spring Boot, microservices
• Experience with NoSQL databases, e.g. MongoDB, Cassandra, Neo4j is highly preferred
• Previous working experience with AWS, Docker is a BIG plus
• Experience with Scala, Apache Spark, or Apache Kafka is a very BIG plus
• Knowledge of machine learning concepts is a BIG plus
• Comfortable working with development tools such as Git, Stash, and Bamboo
• Strong team and communication skills a must
• Experience with Java-based CMS products such as Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) or Magnolia or
